104 deputies received 2.1 million hryvnias from the state budget for housing rent in July

In July 2024, 104 people’s deputies of Ukraine received compensation from the state budget for renting housing or hotel rooms for a total of 2.168 million hryvnias. This one information was published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada, which contains a detailed list of People’s Deputies who used state assistance to cover living expenses.

According to the data, compensation was provided to deputies who rent housing or a room in a hotel because they do not have their own residence in Kyiv. The total amount of payments was 2,168,150 hryvnias, and the average amount of compensation for one deputy per month was about 19,500 hryvnias. Most of these payments were made for housing rent in June 2024.

Andriy Bohdanets, a deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction, received the largest compensation — 59,150 hryvnias, which covers living expenses for the period from April to June 2024. This indicator became the highest among all deputies who took advantage of compensation for housing rent.

In second place in terms of the amount of compensation, several deputies were at once: Halyna Vasylchenko and Natalya Pipa from the “Golos” faction, as well as Olena Vintonyak and Eduard Proschuk from “Servant of the People”. Each of them received 39,650 hryvnias for accommodation in May and June.

Compensation for housing rent is an important part of the social package for people’s deputies who do not have their own housing in the capital. The legislation provides for such payments to ensure proper conditions for the performance of parliamentary duties.
