Drones attacked defense plants in various regions of the Russian Federation

On the night of May 26, explosions were heard in various regions of Russia — local residents reported attacks on a drone factory in Tatarstan, a chemical plant in Ivanovo region, and explosions near a defense plant in Tula region.
In Tula, where the “Splav” research and production association is located – one of the leading developers of rocket salvo systems in the Russian Federation – local residents once again reported explosions. This is not the first case of an attack on the facility – it was fired upon at least twice in May.
Residents of Kineshma, Ivanovo region, also reported explosions. According to them, the blows were inflicted on the Dmitrov Chemical Plant. The operational headquarters of the region confirmed the fall of the wreckage of the drone in the industrial zone and the damage to the economic structure for storing packaging. Kineshma is located more than 1000 km from the Ukrainian border.
Reports of the attack also came from Yelabuga, in Tatarstan. There is a factory for assembling Shahed drones, which was already attacked in 2024 and 2025. The city is located approximately 1,500 km from Ukraine.
Due to the situation, Rosaviatsia temporarily restricted flights at several airports – Kaluga, Nizhnyokamsk, as well as Moscow’s Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports.
In the morning, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the alleged destruction of 96 Ukrainian drones in the airspace of 12 regions of Russia.
