NBU revokes licenses of several non-bank financial institutions

The National Bank of Ukraine decided to revoke the licenses of several non-banking financial institutions and exclude them from the State Register of Financial Institutions. The basis for this was the own statements of the companies themselves, informs NBU press office.
Among the institutions that lost their financial company licenses are “BI.MANI FINANCIAL COMPANY”, “RULLA UKRAINE” LLC and “PROSTOSAYM” LLC. These companies had permission to provide loans in cash and in bankable metals. The list also included SE “UKRAINIAN CENTER “BEZPEKA” and STATE INNOVATIVE FINANCIAL AND CREDIT INSTITUTION, which provided financial leasing services, and PT “LONBARD “ONYX PLUS” CHERNYK AND COMPANY”, which specialized in issuing pawn loans.
In addition, the National Bank changed the scope of the license of LIBERTY FINANCE FINANCIAL COMPANY LLC. According to the company’s application, activities related to factoring, financial leasing and the provision of guarantees were removed from its license. After the changes, the institution retained the right to grant loans, including in bank metals, as well as exchange currencies in cash.
These decisions were adopted by the Committee on Supervision and Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Services Markets within the limits of current legislation. The revocation of licenses at the initiative of the companies themselves may indicate a reformatting of the non-banking financial services market, a change in the strategies of its participants, or adaptation to current economic conditions.
It will be recalled that at the end of March, the NBU also revoked the licenses of four non-banking financial institutions based on their own statements. These institutions were excluded from the State Register of Financial Institutions.
