The Ministry of Defense has approved the supply of one of the most protected armored vehicles in the world to the Armed Forces
According to the agency, currently engineering armored cars of this model are already used by the armies of Canada, France, Italy, Pakistan and Great Britain.

The Ministry of Defense codified and authorized the supply of the Buffalo MPV armored engineering vehicle, which is considered one of the safest in the world, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The Buffalo MPV is an American engineering vehicle created using MRAP (Mine and Ambush Protection) technology. This class of military vehicles is characterized by increased ballistic protection due to the V-shaped bottom, which dissipates the energy of the explosion, and special shock-absorbing seats. The design of the armored car consists of a monolithic armored capsule and external blast-absorbing units.
The Buffalo MPV is a modernized version of the famous CASSPIR armored vehicle, which was used during conflicts in South Africa, Iraq and Afghanistan. CASSPIR is in service with the armies and power structures of more than 10 countries of the world. An important fact is that during the entire time of operation in combat conditions, none of these vehicles, even after explosions and shelling, did not lose a single crew member.
The Buffalo MPV has the III level of protection according to the STANAG 4569 standard and is able to withstand a mine detonation with the equivalent of an explosion of 20 kg of TNT. The machine is equipped with 15-centimeter bullet-proof glass, a composite armored capsule protected by cumulative gratings, and a 9-meter manipulator with a built-in camera and sensors for the disposal of explosive devices.
Currently, such engineering armored vehicles are in service with the armies of Canada, France, Italy, Pakistan and Great Britain, the Ministry of Defense noted.
