The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on stimulating charity

On February 25, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the fully revised draft law No. 12328-d, which provides for an increase in the limit of charitable contributions for enterprises from 4% to 8% of profit. About this reported Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev.

“The draft law provides for the stimulation of charitable assistance for the benefit of charitable organizations and individuals who suffered as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation during the period of the legal regime of martial law”. Hetmantsev noted.

The document proposes that by the end of the year in which martial law will be lifted, businesses will be able to deduct up to 8% of profits for charity without additional tax burden. At the same time, the amount of more than 4% of the taxable profit of the previous reporting year must be directed exclusively to charitable organizations.

“In addition, the project envisages equalizing the tax consequences of the personal income tax taxation of charitable assistance in monetary and non-monetary forms”, – added Hetmantsev.
