Литва инвестирует €20 млн в развитие украинского ОПК

Lithuania continues to support Ukraine in the defense sector, having announced an investment of 20 million euros in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry. As part of this initiative, joint production facilities for the manufacture of weapons will also be created.
Ministry of Defense of Lithuania stated, that this investment is part of the strategy of actively supporting Ukraine. The Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Dovile Šakaliene emphasized that the Ukrainian defense industry has significant potential and can become an influential player in the world market. She noted the high level of professionalism of Ukrainian engineers and the strategic approach of industry management.
According to Shakaliene, Lithuania will continue to invest in the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, purchasing weapons directly from Ukraine. 20 million euros have already been allocated, and this amount may increase. In addition, it is planned to expand cooperation by creating a joint production of weapons in both Lithuania and Ukraine.
Due to security concerns, the types of weapons covered by the agreement are not disclosed. In the near future, negotiations between the representatives of both countries will be held in Lithuania, where the details of the implementation of the agreements and further steps for the development of cooperation in the defense sphere will be discussed.
