В Польше очередная группа добровольцев вступила в Украинский легион

Several dozen volunteers from among citizens of Ukraine living abroad, entered to the Ukrainian Legion in Poland. Among the volunteers are Ukrainians who permanently live in different countries, in particular in the USA, Canada, Estonia, Norway and Germany.

The Consul General of Ukraine in Lublin, Oleg Kuts, noted that the signing of contracts by the third group of volunteers confirms the effectiveness and stability of the project, and also indicates a high level of interest.

«Now women, as well as young people, willingly submit applications. We see interest from all over the world, as this group includes, in particular, Ukrainians from the USA, Canada, Estonia, Norway, and Germany. The geography is expanding, we are going in a good direction.» — stressed the diplomat.

He emphasized that it is important to demonstrate the full cycle of the project in cooperation with Polish partners — from recruitment abroad to the arrival of volunteers in front-line units. This, according to him, will make it possible to «expand it to other countries.»

«We are interested in volunteers going through three stages of training. After that, it will be possible to present the project to our foreign partners and spread it to other countries. This will speed up the process, because geography and logistics also take a certain amount of time.», — noted the consul general.

We will remind that the creation of the Ukrainian Legion became known at the beginning of July, when the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk signed a security agreement in Warsaw. One of its points is the training of Ukrainian military units on the territory of Poland.
