Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the meeting of representatives of the general staffs, which will take place in Ukraine and will be devoted to the issues of the future deployment of the military contingent. According to him, the agreement to hold such a meeting at the military level was reached during the «coalition of the determined» summit held the day before in Paris.
«We urgently agreed — we give it a week — to hold a meeting in Ukraine with a narrow circle of representatives of the general staffs of the main countries, who will be one hundred percent ready for the contingent on the territory of Ukraine.» — he explained.
The President did not specify which countries will be represented, but noted that France, Great Britain and Ukraine have confirmed their participation.
«We will show our infrastructure, work with partners, work out our joint vision. We agreed that immediately after that there will be a meeting not at the military level, but at the level of the NSA (national security advisers). And it will continue with a final meeting on security guarantees.», — added Zelensky.
We will remind that the «Coalition of the Determined», led by France and Great Britain, has been working on an initiative to send thousands of troops to Ukraine in recent weeks to ensure compliance with a possible ceasefire.
After the summit in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the heads of foreign affairs of the countries participating in the «Coalition of the Resolute» should prepare legal grounds for the mechanism for monitoring the ceasefire regime in Ukraine.
