George Clooney criticized the US government, which caused an emotional reaction from Donald Trump

The famous actor George Clooney criticized the American authorities for trying to pressure journalists, which caused an emotional reaction from Donald Trump. About this informs Variety.

Clooney made his stand during a promotional campaign for Good Night and Good Luck, in which he played a journalist who faces harassment from a US senator. Previously, the actor is known for his roles in the films “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Descendants”.

“When the judicial, executive and legislative branches of government fail us, the fourth branch must step up. ABC just settled a lawsuit with the Trump administration. And CBS News is in the process. We see this idea of using government to intimidate or fine, or using corporations to make journalists less powerful. Governments don’t like press freedom. Never have.”, – said Clooney on the air of the “60 Minutes” program.

Donald Trump reacted to these words, who posted an emotional post on the Truth Social page, calling the actor “second-rate.”

“Why would the highly discredited program 60 Minutes do a whole ‘pathetic spot’ on George Clooney, a second-rate movie star and failed political pundit? He fought hard to get ‘Sleepy Joe’ (as Joe Biden was called) elected, then dumped him like a dog right after the debate. Later, I believe, on orders from the Obama camp, he pushed everything for Kamala, only to soon understand that it won’t work”, – emphasized Trump.

We will remind that the famous American actress America Ferrera, who starred in the movie “Barbie” and the TV series “Durnushka”, plans to move to Great Britain with her husband and children. Her decision is related to disappointment with the results of the US presidential election, in which Donald Trump won. Ferrera actively supported the candidacy of Kamala Harris.
