400 human bodies found in secret crematorium on the Mexico-US border (video)

A secret crematorium was discovered in the city of Juarez, on the border of Mexico and the United States opposite El Paso (Texas). There are approximately 400 heavily decomposed bodies in it – 383 of them are whole, the rest are fragmented. About this informs Daily Mail.

Law enforcement officials believe that some of the remains could have been stored there for more than three or four years. According to authorities, most of the bodies were embalmed, and the reasons why they were not buried or cremated remain unknown.

The owner of the building, Jose Luis Arellano Cuaron, and his employee are accused of mishandling human remains. An examination is being conducted to determine whether some of these individuals may have been victims of murder. If such facts are established, the case may be reclassified.

According to state officials, the bodies were likely transferred by six different funeral agencies. Relatives of the deceased received urns with “ashes” and believed that the farewell took place according to the rules. Despite the fact that the crematorium had three official licenses, serious doubts arose about the legality and ethics of its operation. The governor of the state of Chihuahua said the facility was run by “irresponsible and unscrupulous people who misused licenses and permits.”

The discovery could significantly advance the investigation into hundreds of missing people in the region, which has seen significant violence from drug cartels. During the Biden administration, many migrants who were waiting for permission to enter the United States went missing or became victims of kidnapping.

The local authorities have started the identification procedure. Families who suspect that their loved ones may be among the dead are advised to submit documents and information about the funeral homes they visited and a description of what the loved ones were wearing when they were last contacted.
