A cadet at a training center in the Chernihiv region shot and killed two military instructors
On the territory of the training center in the Chernihiv region, a cadet opened fire with an automatic weapon, as a result of which two servicemen-instructors were killed. The perpetrator was detained. About this informs press service of the police of Chernihiv region.
“The police received information that on the territory of the training center during the shooting, a cadet fired from an automatic weapon in the direction of military instructors. As a result of the injuries received, two soldiers died.” – says the message of the national police.
Law enforcement officers detained the suspect in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
We will remind, from February 10, 2025, the updated program of basic combined military training (BZVP) for military personnel began to operate. Despite maintaining the total duration of training at 1.5 months, the program has undergone significant improvements.
In particular, new short-range shooting exercises aimed at preparing for close-quarter combat were included. Additional allocation of ammunition is provided for this. The program also included psychological preparation — in particular, watching the VR film “The First Battle,” which should contribute to the formation of resistance to stress.
The next stage of training involves the completion of professional courses according to combat positions. Military personnel will receive specialized training in accordance with the chosen military accounting specialty.
