A new checkpoint “Nyzhankovychi-Malkhovychi” was opened on the border with Poland

On the border between Ukraine and Poland, the new “Nyzhankovichi – Malkhovychi” automobile checkpoint has started work. About this reported Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
This modern checkpoint, created thanks to the financing of the Polish side, accepts buses, cars and trucks weighing up to 3.5 tons. It works under a joint scheme, where customs and border control are carried out by experts from both countries.
Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, emphasized that the implementation of this project is a response to the growing load on the border infrastructure due to a full-scale war. According to him, about 90% of passenger traffic now occurs at automobile checkpoints, so the creation of new facilities of this type is critically important to ensure convenience and reduce waiting time for citizens.

A special feature of the checkpoint is the implementation of the “eCherga” system for buses, which allows you to register in advance to cross the border, greatly simplifying this process.
Previously, a regular border crossing point functioned at this location, which was closed in October for the construction of a new facility. Thanks to this opening, 14 checkpoints are now operating on the border with Poland, which will contribute to the improvement of logistics and passenger service.
