Almost 130,000 displaced people were forced to return to the TOT or to the war zone: details

At the “Monetary aid to IDPs” conference, organized with the support of USAID, alarming figures were heard: almost 130,000 Ukrainians, who found refuge far from the war, are forced to return home, to the war zone or to the occupied territories. The main reasons are the lack of housing and work.
Maksym Tkachenko, head of the TSK housing working group for the protection of the rights of IDPs, emphasized on the critical need for state support for these people. He called for the adoption of draft law No. 10382, which provides for the continuation of financial assistance to displaced persons until the end of martial law or their complete adaptation in a new place.
“First of all, due to housing problems and lack of funds, almost 130,000 displaced people were forced to return home, to the war zone or even to the TOT. At the same time, the VPO is the treasure on which we will rely, restoring Ukraine after the victory. Therefore, it is very important for the state to support IDPs, to help them get back on their feet in a new place“, Tkachenko said.
The conference became a platform for discussing ways to strengthen cooperation between the state and international partners in order to provide comprehensive support to IDPs.
