Andriy Sybiga appealed to the international community after Russia’s massive night strike on Ukraine

Following another massive air attack by Russia on the night of May 25, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga appealed to the international community to immediately increase political and diplomatic pressure on the Kremlin to force it to agree to a ceasefire. About this Sybig stated in the morning of May 25 in a post on the X platform.
The minister noted that the night attack lasted all night and was one of the largest in recent times. Within hours, Russia launched hundreds of kamikaze drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, striking Ukrainian towns and villages. As a result, the dead, including children, were injured, businesses, homes and cars were destroyed.
“Difficult Sunday morning in Ukraine after a sleepless night. It was the largest Russian air attack in recent weeks. Russia fired hundreds of drones, cruise and ballistic missiles at Ukrainian cities and communities throughout the night. There are dead and wounded. Among them are at least three children.” — wrote Sybiga.
He sharply criticized the Kremlin’s actions, pointing out that even at a time when the international community is demanding an end to the killings, Putin is, on the contrary, giving orders for new attacks.
“When the whole world calls for an end to the killings, Putin orders more strikes, attacks and killings of children.” Sibiga emphasized.
According to the minister, such an escalation is a direct proof that without a complete, unconditional and long-term ceasefire, any peace initiatives remain hopeless. And that is why, he emphasized, the world community should no longer limit itself to appeals — it is time to move to real pressure.
“This once again underlines the absolute necessity of a full, unconditional and lasting ceasefire as a prerequisite for any meaningful peace efforts. The world must put pressure on Russia to agree to this and immediately stop the killings.” – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
