Annual inflation in Ukraine rose to 15.1%.

In April, annual inflation in Ukraine rose to 15.1%, while in March it was 14.6%. Such data made public State Statistics Service.
Inflation on the consumer market in April compared to March amounted to 0.7%, and since the beginning of the year – 4.3%. According to the State Statistics Service, during April, the prices of food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.8%. Pork and fruit rose in price the most — by 7.9%.
Alcohol and tobacco products rose in price by 1.3%, which is caused by a 2.2% increase in the cost of tobacco products. In the transport sector, a decrease in prices by 0.3% was recorded, primarily due to a 2.2% decrease in the price of fuel and lubricants. At the same time, road and rail transportation became more expensive by 0.9% and 0.8%, respectively.
We will remind that in March 2025 the rate of growth of consumer prices accelerated to 1.5% after 0.8% in February and 1.2% in January. The National Bank of Ukraine revised the forecast of the consumer price index for 2025 in the direction of growth — from 8.4% to 8.7%.
According to the forecast of the National Bank, in the summer the rates of annual price growth will begin to slow down for most goods and services. The expected increase in harvests will contribute to the reduction of food inflation, starting from the third quarter of 2025, and further keeping it at a relatively low level.
