Austrian Defense Minister: Allies crossed “red lines” by allowing Ukraine to attack the territory of the Russian Federation

The fact that France, the United States and Germany allowed their weapons to be used to attack the Ukrainian military territory of Russia crossed the so-called “red lines”, according to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Austria, Claudia Tanner.
The minister stated this during an interview for Austrian mass media. At the same time, Ms. Tanner expressed approval of NATO’s decision to refuse to send troops to Ukraine.
“The red line has been crossed. That is why I am very happy with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s clarification that NATO will not send troops to Ukraine,” – said the Minister of Defense of Austria.
To the criticism of journalists that the decision of the allies was fair, since Ukraine was granted permission to use long-range weapons with restrictions and for the purpose of protecting the border territories, in particular the Kharkiv region, where the Russians attempted a large-scale offensive, Claudia Tanner said that she had no right to judge.
“This is not for Austria to judge, as we are a militarily neutral state,” – said the head of the ministry.
