Brave1 Market launched: Mykhailo Fedorov on the new opportunity for the military to independently purchase innovative technologies for the front

While Ukrainian defenders work in extremely difficult conditions every day, the digital state is building new technology supply channels. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has officially launched the Brave1 Market platform — an electronic marketplace where military units can directly purchase modern defense products created by Ukrainian manufacturers. It is not about centralized state procurement, but about operational interaction between those who create the means of destruction and those who fight every day. About launching the platform reported Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, the platform was created as a technology marketplace that works according to the principle of a commercial online store, but instead of household goods, there is everything needed to destroy the enemy: drones, robotic complexes, EW systems, components, ammunition and solutions based on artificial intelligence.

“We are launching Brave1 Market — a marketplace of the latest technologies for the Ukrainian military”, Fedorov wrote in his Telegram message.

As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, the units of the Armed Forces will now independently choose the equipment they want to fight with and buy it with the funds of their units. This is a radical change in the supply model: instead of centralized, slow and often outdated government procurement, combat units will be able to interact directly with developers.

Brave1 Market is designed to simplify and accelerate the process of delivering technology to the frontline. According to Fedorov, the military is currently forced to independently search for the necessary equipment: some – on the open Internet, some – through acquaintances or other units. This makes access to quality solutions difficult and limits the spread of effective weapons already on the market.

“The Marketplace will greatly simplify the interaction between developers and the military,” – emphasized the minister.

According to Fedorov, more than a thousand solutions are already available on the platform, including drones, ground robots, electronic warfare equipment, software and ammunition created by Ukrainian engineers within the Brave1 defense cluster. All these products will be able to be compared, selected, view technical characteristics and directly contact the manufacturer to conclude the agreement.

Fedorov also emphasized that the new format gives a chance for the wider distribution of those technologies that have already shown their effectiveness, but remained little known due to the lack of centralized information.

To ensure security and access control, authorization of the military on the platform is carried out through the “Action” application. In addition, part of the information related to the most sensitive developments is placed in a closed directory, to which only verified servicemen have access through the Delta system.
