Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Roshel moved part of its production to Ukraine

The Canadian company Roshel, which specializes in the production of armored vehicles, has moved part of its production to Ukraine. About this stated CEO of the company Romash Shimonov during the conference “Protecting the future of Ukraine: security guarantees and demining for recovery and reconstruction”.

“We have completed the planning stage and have already launched production facilities in Ukraine. The enterprise was opened two months ago and is now actively operating.” – said Shimonov.

At the same time, he emphasized that he does not disclose the exact location of the new plant for security reasons.

“He will definitely become a very desirable target for the Russians,” added Shimonov.

According to him, the deployment of production in Ukraine enabled the company to attract a highly qualified workforce.

“We’ve got incredible people who have the skills, knowledge and experience that can be put into real solutions. You won’t find that anywhere else.” – emphasized the general director.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the Roshel company has already handed over hundreds of Senator armored vehicles in various configurations to the Ukrainian side.

“MRAP armored vehicles (from the English MRAP, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected – protection against mines and ambushes). Such vehicles have a V-shaped bottom for dispersing the energy of the explosion and special shock-absorbing seats. Structurally, they consist of a monolithic armored capsule and external explosion-absorbing units: wheels, chassis, engine. The latter absorb all the kinetic energy from the mine explosion, preserving the integrity of the residential module.” reported at the Ministry of Defense.
