Collectors are actively buying up rare 50-kopeck coins: how much they pay for them

Ukrainians who own old coins can make money from them, because numismatists are ready to pay considerable sums for rare specimens. This is reported by a specialized resource “Berry coins“.
Coins with a denomination of 50 kopecks, but only of certain years and varieties, are of particular interest to collectors.
One of the most valuable is a 1992 coin of the 3VAh variety. Its cost can vary from 4 to 11 thousand hryvnias, depending on the condition. It can be distinguished by several characteristics:
- thick middle tooth trident;
- smooth group (edge of a coin);
- the diameter of the drawing is 17.7 mm;
- cluster #1 with four separate berries, with the fifth berry merging with the corolla.
Another popular coin is 50 kopecks of 1994 of the 1.1AGm variety. Collectors are ready to pay from 2 to 4 thousand hryvnias for it. It has the following differences:
- a small hole in the lower part of the trident;
- band with a small notch;
- trapezoidal space between leaf and shoot.
The 2001 50-kopeck coin is also highly valued due to its small circulation. Its cost is about 2 thousand hryvnias.
If you come across such coins, they can be sold profitably, as interest in rare specimens among collectors continues to grow.
