Coordination of military aid to Ukraine has shifted from the United States to NATO: Reuters

The North Atlantic Alliance, after a delay of several months, took over the coordination of providing Western military support to Ukraine. He planned to replace the United States in this role, informs Reuters.
It is about the launch of the new NATO Security and Training Assistance Center for Ukraine (NSATU), the creation of which was agreed by the Alliance leaders at the summit in Washington in July 2024. The center, located on the American military base in the city of Wiesbaden (Germany), is already fully operational.
It is expected that NSATU personnel will reach approximately 700 military personnel. The center will also include specialists working at the NATO SHAPE headquarters in Belgium and logistics hubs located in Poland and Romania.
The main task of NSATU is to coordinate the supply of weapons and training programs for Ukraine, which strengthens the role of NATO in providing assistance to Kyiv in resisting Russian aggression.
