Denmark announces $628 million long-term military aid package to Ukraine

The Danish Ministry of Defense has announced the 26th package of long-term military aid to Ukraine for a total amount of about DKK 4.2 billion ($628 million). About this it is said in the official statement of the Danish Ministry of Defense.

The new support package, financed from the Ukrainian Fund and through the European Peace Fund, covers the period 2025-2028. As part of this assistance, Ukraine will receive additional artillery guns and ammunition purchased thanks to participation in the Czech initiative.

“By allocating additional funds to the Czech initiative in 2025, it will be possible to finance the purchase of another batch of artillery shells, which will allow Ukraine to better plan stable supplies of artillery ammunition.”, – noted the Ministry of Defense of Denmark.

The package also provides for the provision of equipment for combat aviation, the expansion of training opportunities and the provision of other assistance.

“Unfortunately, Ukraine’s need for aid and support has not diminished. I am glad and proud that we can once again allocate funds for aid that will make a difference on the battlefield in both the short and long term.”, – said the Minister of Defense of Denmark, Troels Lund Poulsen.

In general, within the framework of the Ukrainian Fund for 2023–2028, Denmark has earmarked 66.1 billion Danish kroner for military support of Ukraine.
