Denmark announces new military aid package to Ukraine worth 6.7 billion kroner

The Danish government has announced the launch of the 25th aid package for Ukraine, the total amount of which is 6.7 billion Danish kroner (approximately 643 million USD) for the period 2025-2027. About this reported Ministry of Defense of Denmark.
Financing is carried out at the expense of the Ukrainian Fund and includes support for air defense systems, artillery capabilities, as well as financial assistance to the Air Force of Ukraine.
“The security situation is developing rapidly. Therefore, it is extremely important that Denmark continues to provide massive support to Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, Denmark has been one of the countries leading the way in donor work. With the 25th aid package, we emphasize our support for Ukraine both in the short-term and in the long-term.” Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said.
Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen emphasized the strategic importance of aid to Ukraine for the whole of Europe:
“I hope our package can inspire other allies to provide even more support.”
The package includes 1.4 billion kroner in 2025-2027 for artillery support and ammunition supply through partners. Funding will also be directed to air defense systems, drones, and the information and technology coalition.
During 2026 and 2027, Denmark plans to expand its participation in the “Danish model” aimed at strengthening the Ukrainian defense industry. The total volume of planned financing for these purposes is 2 billion kroner. Subject to additional funding, support will also cover efforts to engage allies in this model.
“It is absolutely essential that we help the Ukrainians to build up their defense industry. The Danish model has shown that the Ukrainian potential produces and supplies equipment for the Ukrainian struggle for freedom. Denmark should continue to invest in this, and I hope that other countries will follow our example even more.” Poulsen emphasized.
We will remind that in 2024, Denmark allocated about 4.4 billion kroner to support the Ukrainian defense industry according to this model. The Ministry of Defense is currently preparing the introduction of new funds in 2025, including on behalf of European allies, while strengthening control and audit within the program.
