Donald Tusk suggests a quick start of peace talks on the war in Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, said that peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine could begin this winter. About this reported Polish edition of Do Rzeczi.
Tusk emphasized that Poland will play an active role in the negotiations concerning the situation on the country’s eastern border.
“As you understand, our delegation will be responsible, among other things, for what the political calendar will look like, perhaps what the situation will be during the negotiations, which may, although in question, start this winter”, – noted the Polish Prime Minister.
Tusk also confirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron plans to discuss in Warsaw the results of his recent meetings in Paris with the winner of the US presidential election, Donald Trump, and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
In addition, he announced that during Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer will visit Warsaw. Tusk emphasized that Poland should not only participate in negotiations, but also play a leading role in shaping decisions that will affect the country’s security and the protection of national interests.
