France will provide Ukraine with a new €2 billion military aid package

Ukraine will receive a new package of military aid from France in the amount of €2 billion. About this reported French President Emmanuel Macron during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Macron stressed that allies should provide “the most immediate support” to Ukrainian forces.

“Today I would like to announce a new package of military support for Ukraine worth 2 billion euros”, – he said, clarifying that the aid should “meet the primary needs” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Macron noted, this package will include anti-tank missiles, air defense systems, missiles for Mirage fighters, “Mistral ground defense missiles” and VAB AMX-10 RX armored vehicles.

“These are munitions, including remote-controlled munitions. And this is also the production of equipment in Ukraine thanks to partnerships with our defense enterprises”, – added the French president.

We will remind that Zelensky arrived in France on March 26 to participate in the preparation for the security summit, which will be held in Paris on March 27. The summit will be dedicated to the “coalition of the determined” initiative, aimed at forming the foundations for the future post-war settlement.

At the beginning of March, French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced his intention to use the profits from frozen Russian assets to prepare a package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 195 million euros.
