Germany handed over Gepard installations, Vector drones and ammunition to Ukraine

On March 17, Germany handed over a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which included Gepard anti-aircraft guns, drones and other equipment. About this it is said in the message of the German government.

As part of the aid, Ukraine received 24 MRAP mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles, ammunition for the Leopard 1 main battle tank, MARDER infantry fighting vehicles and other BMPs. Three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and 10,000 ammunition for them were also transferred (the ammunition of one gun is 640 shots).

In addition, Germany handed over missiles for the medium-range IRIS-T SLM anti-aircraft missile system, 5,000 155 mm ammunition, 2,000 122 mm ammunition and 8,000 ammunition for 120 mm mortars.

Special attention was paid to drones: Ukraine received 50 VECTOR reconnaissance drones with spare parts, 30 Gereon RCS tracked drones, as well as 30 drone detection systems. Among other things, Ukraine received two armored vehicles for clearing WISENT 1 minefields, 100 portable demining systems, two minesweepers, laser rangefinders, infrared binoculars, vehicles, assault rifles and first aid kits.
