How much do the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine earn: clarification of the Ministry of Defense

Deputy Minister of Defense Natalia Kalmykova in a conversation with the spokesman of the department Dmytro Lazutkin detailed the system of monetary support for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The minimum salary in the Armed Forces is UAH 20,100.

In addition, the military receives a number of allowances, including:

• UAH 100,000 – combat payments for performing tasks on the front line;
• UAH 70,000 – additional payments approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (the Ministry of Defense is currently collecting data for their calculation);
• UAH 30,000 – payments to servicemen who perform special and combat tasks as part of groups;
• up to UAH 50,000 – additional payment for military personnel serving in departments.

Kalmykova noted that thanks to the high level of financial support, the Armed Forces remain one of the most attractive employers in Ukraine, and recruiting centers demonstrate positive recruitment dynamics for all military vacancies.
