In 2025, Ukrainian farmers will receive 10.9 billion hryvnia in aid

In 2025, Ukrainian farmers will receive 10.9 billion UAH of state support, and 43% of this amount will come from international financial organizations. About this reported Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Nina Yuzhanina.
“Budgetary support for agricultural producers in 2024 amounted to UAH 7.075 billion and took place under the budget programs of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Economy”, – she noted.
According to Yuzhanina, 39% of funding, or UAH 2.78 billion, in 2024 was provided with the participation of international financial structures. These funds were used as subsidies for 1 ha (70%), for keeping cattle (22%) and goats and sheep (8%).
The remaining UAH 1.36 billion from the general fund of the state budget was directed to the provision of grants: for the creation or development of processing enterprises (65%), support for horticulture, berry growing and viticulture (23%), as well as greenhouse farming (12%).
Yuzhanina emphasized that in 2025, a significant increase in the total amount of assistance is planned to UAH 10.9 billion, of which 43% can already be provided at the expense of international partners. She also mentioned that only UAH 0.4 billion was allocated to compensate for costs related to humanitarian demining of agricultural lands in 2024, while more than UAH 2.5 billion earmarked for these purposes was allocated to payments under the “Winter is Support” program.
