In the US, a “money rain” was arranged from a helicopter at the funeral of a car wash owner (video)

In Detroit, USA, residents witnessed an unusual farewell – a generous “rain of money” from a helicopter, which was the last gift to the locals from the deceased owner of a local car wash. About this informs Daily Mail.

Darrell “Plant” Thomas, a South Detroit car wash owner who was well known for his kindness, has died at the age of 58 of Alzheimer’s disease. During the farewell ceremony, the situation took on a surreal look – a helicopter flew over part of the city, from which rose petals and cash were scattered.

Traffic on the six-lane road came to a standstill as drivers stopped their cars to collect the money that was falling from the sky. The organizers of this farewell gesture were the sons of Thomas. They noted that this was their father’s last will – to “decorate the streets” and thank people. According to his niece, a total of $5,000 was dropped from the helicopter.

“No fights, nothing like that. It was really beautiful. Everyone got a little bit.” – said an employee of Thomas’s company.

One of Darrell’s sons, known as “Smoke,” helped organize the touching ceremony and shared memories of his father.

“Detroit, you may not know who my father was, but he was a great father. He was a legend in his community and a blessing to everyone, and that was his last blessing to everyone. That’s it.” Smoke said.

Concluding his speech, he said:

“I wish everyone many blessings, and long live Plant.”
