Instead of a tutor: schoolchildren will be able to “brush up” on mathematics and the Ukrainian language free of charge
Another academic year is coming to an end in Ukrainian schools. There is good news for parents who are currently looking for tutors for the summer: students are being offered a month of free tuition at an online school. The Ministry of Education of Ukraine informed about the opportunity to improve knowledge of the Ukrainian language and mathematics.
Due to the partial transition to online lessons, air alarms and the need to study in warehouses instead of classrooms, the quality of school education in Ukraine is declining. That is why the issue of making up the school curriculum in basic subjects is quite relevant. To help students catch up, the government has funded several educational projects for schoolchildren, which will be implemented this summer. One of them – “now i know”.
Within the framework of the program, students of grades 4-10 will be able to join online lessons in mathematics and the Ukrainian language for 5 weeks. The course was composed by specialists of the “Smart Education” public organization.
Training is divided into two stages. The first shift starts already on June 17 and will last until July 21. During this tour, students of 4th – 6th grades will catch up on their knowledge. The shift for students of grades 7-10 will last from July 15 to August 18.
Considering the fact that the children are on vacation, and that the classes are only in two subjects, the lessons will last only 2 hours a day. Students will be able to choose a convenient time – from 10:00 to 12:00 or from 17:00 to 19:00. Training will be conducted using the Zoom and OpenLMS platforms.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education reported on the possibility of studying at the SchoolToGo online summer school. This is a Ukrainian-Slovak project aimed at making up for educational losses. Training will start on June 17 and will have a creative direction. The SchoolToGo course is aimed primarily at children from privileged categories – schoolchildren from large families, children with disabilities, orphans, etc. Read more about the project here.
