Kyiv will begin paying aid to victims of shelling on April 24

Residents of the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv, whose homes were damaged by shelling on April 24, will start receiving assistance from the city authorities this week. About this it is said on the official website of the KMDA.
“Residents have already submitted 46 applications for housing rent compensation (40,000 UAH each). In addition, 618 people have applied for one-time financial assistance in the amount of 10,000 UAH as part of the city’s program ‘Care. For the people of Kyiv’. Payments to the victims will begin by the end of this week.” – the message says.
KMDA clarifies that it is possible to submit an application for financial support at the assistance point located on the basis of the specialized school of I-III degrees No. 96 named after O. K. Antonov at the address: St. Oleksandr Oksanchenko, 2.
We will remind that on April 24, as a result of a rocket attack on the capital, 106 buildings were damaged, of which 84 were residential. One house was completely destroyed, another eight were significantly damaged and require an instrumental examination. Educational institutions were also affected – in particular, windows and doors were broken in four schools and two kindergartens.
Several medical, sports and social facilities were also damaged. The strike also destroyed 74 vehicles, 50 of which were beyond repair. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack continues. Communal services have already removed 2,888 cubic meters of construction waste only within the boundaries of Svyatoshyn district, the KMDA notes.
