Lukashenko threatened NATO with a nuclear strike after Putin’s statements

The President of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, following the example of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, began to threaten the West with the use of nuclear weapons, declaring that the state border of Belarus is a “red line”. This was reported by the local publication “BelTA”.
Lukashenko noted that in the event of any invasion of the territory of Russia or Belarus, Moscow and Minsk will immediately use their nuclear arsenal. He also accused Poland of aggressive intentions, saying that it, along with the United States, is already preparing for action along the border.
“We will use nuclear weapons – they can answer us. Including Russia. Therefore, Russia will use the entire arsenal. And this is already a world war. The West does not want this either. They are not ready for this. But we tell them frankly: the red line – it’s a state border. We’ve stepped on it – the answer will be immediate. I’m honestly and frankly talking about it.”, – he added.
Threats from Belarus and Russia have become especially relevant against the background of the war in Ukraine, where the Kremlin constantly uses rhetoric about the possible use of nuclear weapons as a means of intimidating Western countries that support Ukraine.
Recently, Vladimir Putin announced changes in Russia’s nuclear doctrine that expand the conditions for the use of the nuclear arsenal, underscoring the Kremlin’s readiness to use these capabilities in the event of a threat from the West.
