North Korea threatens to start a war against South Korea: what is the reason?

On October 19, near Pyongyang, North Korea announced the alleged detection of a South Korean drone, which led to threats against South Korea, including the possibility of a declaration of war. About this informs Reuters.

The report said that the drone had a box for distributing leaflets and was probably flying over the center of Pyongyang. However, the final conclusion in this regard has not yet been made.

North Korea has warned that if such a violation of its airspace is confirmed again, it will be seen as a “serious military provocation against the sovereignty of the DPRK” and will be considered a declaration of war.

South Korea has not yet commented on the drone launch.

We will remind that on October 18, South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol held an urgent meeting on security issues to discuss the possible transfer of North Korean troops to Russia. The meeting discussed the recent movements of North Korean troops who, according to reports, may support Russia in the war against Ukraine.

The Washington Post previously reported that several thousand North Korean soldiers are undergoing training in Russia to participate in hostilities in Ukraine. Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Military Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense, also confirmed that about 11,000 soldiers from the DPRK are preparing for hostilities in the east of Russia and may be ready to participate in combat operations as early as November 1.
