Norway will strengthen the protection of the hub in Poland, through which aid to Ukraine goes

Norway will provide F-35 aircraft and NASAMS air defense systems to protect the transport hub in Poland through which military aid is transferred to Ukraine. About this reported Norwegian government.

“In a few days, Norway will send troops, consisting of soldiers, aircraft and air defense equipment, to contribute to the protection of the most important hub for the transportation of civilian and military material support from other countries to Ukraine. In this way, Norway is helping to ensure the flow of aid to Ukraine so that Ukraine could continue the struggle for freedom.” – said Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram.

According to the report, Norway is involved in providing security in the area of ​​Rzeszów Airport in Poland, which is part of NATO’s integrated air and missile defense system.

The mission will last from December to Easter, and Norwegian forces will operate exclusively in Polish airspace. As the minister noted, Ukraine has an urgent need for the supply of military equipment, and Poland remains a key hub for its transfer.
