Польща планує завершити будівництво прикордонної стіни та повністю закрити кордон з Білоруссю до літа 2025 року, щоб зупинити потік мігрантів. Заступник міністра з питань міграції Мацей Дущик заявив, що додаткові роботи на кордоні протяжністю 400 кілометрів мають бути завершені до середини 2025 року. Після цього рівень захисту кордону буде максимально високим. Будівництво стіни почалося наприкінці 2021 року після того, як Президент Білорусії Олександр Лукашенко організував потік мігрантів до польського кордону. Мігранти отримували візи для прямих рейсів із Близького Сходу та Африки до Москви або Мінська, звідки їх доставляли до прикордонних районів. Прем’єр-міністр Дональд Туск визначив протидію гібридним загрозам з боку Росії як ключовий пріоритет. Уряд доручив встановити тепловізори, камери нічного бачення, побудувати патрульні дороги й зміцнити вже існуючий п’ятиметровий сталевий паркан, зведений у 2022 році попереднім урядом. На зміцнення кордону Польща планує витратити понад 2,5 мільярда злотих (близько 587 мільйонів євро), половина з яких профінансується з бюджету.

Deputy Minister of Migration Maciej Duszyk said that additional work on the 400-kilometer border should be completed by mid-2025. After that, the level of border protection will be as high as possible.
Construction of the wall began in late 2021 after Belarusian President Oleksandr Lukashenko organized a flow of migrants to the Polish border. Migrants received visas for direct flights from the Middle East and Africa to Moscow or Minsk, from where they were transported to border areas.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has identified countering hybrid threats from Russia as a key priority. The government ordered the installation of thermal imaging cameras, night vision cameras, the construction of patrol roads and the strengthening of the already existing five-meter steel fence erected in 2022 by the previous government. Poland plans to spend more than 2.5 billion zlotys (about 587 million euros) on strengthening the border, half of which will be financed from the budget.
