Potential winners have been determined in the parliamentary elections in Romania

According to the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Romania, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) took first place. The far-right Alliance for the Unification of Romanians (AUR) was in second place. About this informs Digi24.
As of the morning of December 2, after 99% of the ballots had been counted, the Social Democratic Party had 22.74% of the vote, while the AUR had the support of 18.14% of voters. The National Liberal Party (PNL) won 14.44%, the Union for the Rescue of Romania (USR) won 11.96%, and the S.O.S. Romania — 7.57%.
Parliamentary elections in Romania took place the day before. Representatives of 39 parties and 19 organizations of national minorities took part in the vote.
Previously, the first round of presidential elections was held in Romania, where previously little-known politician Celin Georgescu unexpectedly won. This result caused a wave of protests in the country’s capital, Bucharest. The second round of presidential elections is scheduled for December 8. In it, the pro-Russian Georgesescu will be opposed by the pro-European candidate Elena Lasconi.
