Poturaev supports TCC checks at public events after raid on Okean Elzy concert

People’s Deputy Mykyta Poturaev, head of the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, believes that checking documents at public events, in particular after the “Oceanu Elsa” concert, is a completely normal practice for the current situation in the country and does not threaten Ukrainian culture.

“No, I do not consider document checks after the “Oceanu Elsa” concert to be a threat to Ukrainian culture. The same as after any public or mass event. Just as I do not consider document checks in bars or clubs a threat to the Ukrainian economy.” , noted Poturaev

He emphasized that he supports such inspections and believes that they should be regular and systematic. In his opinion, society should be properly informed about the need for such measures.

It will be recalled that on October 11, employees of territorial procurement centers together with the National Police conducted mass raids in various cities of Ukraine, in particular near the Palace of Sports after the “Ocean Elsa” concert, where they checked documents and detained visitors. There were no official comments from the TCC at the time of publication.
