The Prosecutor General’s Office will appeal to the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv with a request for the arrest of Tetyana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise. As an alternative, the prosecutor’s office will offer bail in the amount of 500 million hryvnias. This was reported by the spokeswoman of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Nadiya Maksimets, in a comment for RBC-Ukraine.
“Today, the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted to the Pechersk District Court of the capital a petition for the election of the head of the MSEK as a preventive measure in the form of detention. As an alternative, the prosecutor will ask for bail in the amount of 500 million hryvnias.”Maksymets said.
Which became a prerequisite
On October 3 and 4, law enforcement officers conducted a series of searches as part of a criminal case regarding the illegal registration of disability for men who were trying to avoid military service. The searches took place both in the work premises and in the personal residences of Tetyana Krupa and her relatives.
During the searches, the following were found:
- 100,000 dollars, forged medical documents and lists of persons who evaded service were found in Krupa’s office.
- About 5.24 million dollars, 300 thousand euros, more than 5 million hryvnias, as well as expensive jewelry and jewels were found in the apartments of Krupa and her relatives.
- Significant amounts of cash were hidden in almost every corner of the apartment.
In addition, it was discovered:
- 30 real estate objects in Khmelnytskyi, Lviv and Kyiv.
- 9 luxury cars.
- Corporate rights in the amount of 48 million hryvnias.
- Hotel and restaurant complex with an area of almost 3,000 square meters in Khmelnytskyi.
- Real estate abroad.
- 2.3 million dollars in foreign currency accounts.
On October 5, Tetyana Krupa was detained and charged with suspicion.
