Questions for Ukraine: Israeli Ambassador on the delay in the transfer of the early warning system for attacks

Israel has already handed Ukraine an air attack early warning system, as promised, but the implementation of this system is the responsibility of the Ukrainian side. This was stated by the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Mykhailo Brodsky v interview for “Mirror of the Week”.
According to the ambassador, Israel fulfilled its obligations to Ukraine and handed over all the necessary components of the system. The handover process took several months, but it is fully completed on the Israeli side.
“Everything we promised, we have fulfilled. Therefore, contact your structures that are engaged in the implementation of the Israeli system”Brodsky emphasized.
Back in June 2024, the Ukrainian ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk reported that Kyiv was interested in acquiring the Israeli air defense system “Iron Dome”, considering it as a means of protecting the civilian population. However, the then Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, noted that this system is not suitable for Ukrainian conditions, as it is not capable of effectively countering Russian ballistic and cruise missiles.
In January 2023, Korniychuk announced the transfer to Ukraine of Israeli technologies related to systems of intelligent warning of missile strikes and drone attacks. He noted that the process is proceeding gradually, and Ukraine will fully receive the system in some time.
In February 2023, the Israeli representative at the UN, Gilad Erdan, officially announced the transfer of the early warning system to Ukraine.
“We are forced to become experts in this field, and we are ready to share our expertise with our Ukrainian friends who need help”, – said Erdan.
