Russia and the United States maintain some contacts, but the details are not disclosed at this time. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhiy Ryabkov, rosZMI reports.
“I have nothing to add to what the president’s spokesman said. The contacts are certain, but I have no reason to reveal any details on this topic. But in general, the process is going on.” Ryabkov noted.
According to him, Donald Trump’s team has shown interest in resuming dialogue between Washington and Moscow.
“We are ready for dialogue, which has been discussed more than once, in particular, we are ready to discuss the settlement in Ukraine, but only on an equal, mutually acceptable basis.
Whether the US will take advantage of this chance depends only on them. The language of ultimatums, outrageous statements, attempts to tell us that we will be given a great favor in exchange for agreeing to clearly impassable demands – all this will not pass in relations and dialogue with Russia.” Ryabkov added.
