Russia attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones: Svyatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were the most affected

On the night of July 31, Kyiv was subjected to a missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation. Svyatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were hit the hardest. Currently, 6 dead and more than 50 injured are reported. Three policemen who were on their way to the call were among the injured. Two people were rescued from the rubble, informs State Emergency Service.
In Sviatoshyn district, the entrance of a residential building was destroyed as a result of the impact, emergency services are working on the spot. Also, fires were recorded in several non-residential buildings. Rescue services are dismantling the debris, climbers and engineering equipment are working on the spot. The police are monitoring the perimeter and assisting in rescue operations. Documentation teams are also on site.
In another part of the district, debris from the drone hit a residential building, which caused a fire in one of the apartments and damaged several cars in the yard of the multi-story building. Four injured were handed over to medics. The occupation has been eliminated.
In the Solomyan district, apartments in several high-rise buildings were damaged, and cars were set on fire. In addition, foci of ignition and destruction were detected at several non-residential buildings. Damage to buildings, including a school and a kindergarten, was recorded in the Holosiiv district.
One of Kyiv’s higher educational institutions was hit in the Shevchenkiv district. In addition, debris damaged the roof of a five-story residential building, a warehouse, and caused another car to catch fire.
“We have 52 victims, almost 30 in hospitals. Among them, 9 children were injured. The number, unfortunately, will grow. Six Kyivans died as a result of a targeted attack by Russian terrorists. This is also probably not the final number.” — clarified Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
