Russia is building more than 10 nuclear power units abroad: FT

Russia is actively building more than ten nuclear power units abroad to meet the growing demand for energy. This is due to the development of artificial intelligence and the growth of the economies of developing countries. Thus, the Russian Federation is intensifying its efforts to expand its global influence through nuclear energy.
About this informs Financial Times.
New nuclear facilities are being built in Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran and Turkey.
“We are building more than 10 different units around the world. We need a lot of energy. We will not be able to provide it without using nuclear energy,” – said Putin’s representative Boris Titov.
Russia is targeting demand for nuclear energy from countries seeking clean energy sources, as well as technology companies using artificial intelligence to process data. In total, Russia’s portfolio of nuclear projects, including reactor construction, fuel supply and related services, covers 54 countries.
Among the new plans are the construction of a plant with small modular reactors in Uzbekistan and a deal with Burkina Faso, which is scheduled for 2025.
