German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized the words of US President Donald Trump, who called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a “dictator”. About this informs Spiegel.
“The truth is this: Volodymyr Zelenskyi is the elected head of state of Ukraine. The fact that proper elections cannot be held during the war is in accordance with the Ukrainian constitution and election legislation. No one should claim otherwise.”, – noted Zelenskyi.
The Chancellor of Germany emphasized that it was Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, who started the war in Ukraine:
“Ukraine has been defending itself against the merciless Russian war of aggression for almost three years. Day after day”.
