The area of territories in the Kursk region under the control of Ukrainian forces has decreased to 69.37 square meters. km This decrease occurred due to the loss of the northern outskirts of the village of Guevo. The area of the “grey zone” with uncertain control has also decreased to 60.64 square meters. km Previously, it was 64.49 square meters. km This zone includes villages on both sides of the Ukrainian-Russian border within the Sumy and Kursk regions. At the same time, the territory of Sumy Oblast, which is under the control of Russian troops, remains unchanged – 0.69 square meters. km, without settlements.
In the Krasnoyaruz region of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, the situation is stable: the area of the “gray zone” has not changed and is 13.08 square meters. km Popivka village and part of Demydivka village belong to it.
At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its report does not indicate to replace Ukrainian control in the Suzhan district of Kursk region. According to their data, the situation there remains stable, and reports of the enemy’s advance in the direction of Guevo appeared as early as last week.
If on Saturday morning there were five Russian attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region, then on Sunday their number increased to seven, and three more strikes were carried out in the Sumy region – near the villages of Basivka and Bilovoda. On Monday, the General Staff reported seven attacks on the Ukrainian control zone in the Kursk region. Regarding the actions of Ukrainian forces in the Belgorod region, the General Staff, as before, does not provide information, not showing on its maps the presence of a “gray zone” in this territory.
“In the operational zone in Kurshchyna, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine stopped 21 attacks by Russian invaders over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out 20 airstrikes using 31 guided bombs, and also carried out 347 artillery attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including five from rocket salvo systems.” – says the summary of the General Staff.
