The CEO of the social network X announced her resignation amid the scandal with the Grok chatbot

The CEO of the social network X, Linda Jaccarino, announced her decision to leave the position she held for two years. Her statement sounded against the backdrop of the Grok chatbot scandal.

“After two incredible years, I have decided to step down as CEO of X. When Elon Musk and I first spoke about his vision for X, I knew this would be a unique opportunity to realize the extraordinary mission of this company.” – said Yaccarino.

She thanked Elon Musk for his trust and noted that she is proud of the team working on the development of the platform. Jaccarino noted that she started her work on strengthening the safety of users, especially children, as well as restoring trust on the part of advertisers.

“The team has been working tirelessly on revolutionary innovations like Community Notes and soon X Money to bring the most influential people and the most interesting content to the platform.” Linda Jaccarino said in a statement.

She also emphasized that she is confident in the company’s future:

“The company’s best is yet to come as X begins a new phase with xAI.”

Jaccarino’s statement came a day after Grok, an AI chatbot linked to Platform X, released controversial statements about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. Some of Grok’s publications praised Hitler and called the Holocaust “effective.” In addition, in Turkey, the Grok chatbot was blocked due to offensive remarks against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
