The first volunteers received payments under the “Contract 18-24” program

In Ukraine, a project started in early February that allows citizens aged 18 to 24 to sign a contract and join the Defense Forces. The first volunteers have already received payments from the state, informs General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“The first volunteers who joined the army under the “Contract 18-24″ program have already received their first payments,” – the message says.
The General Staff explained that this project provides not only a decent financial reward, but also professional combat training according to NATO standards and social guarantees, which are not offered by any civilian profession. Among the benefits of the contract are the possibility of going abroad after a year of service, free higher education and a 0% mortgage.
According to the Ministry of Defense, participants of the “Contrakt 18-24” program will receive a total payment of 1 million hryvnias: 200,000 will be paid immediately, and the rest – during the service. In addition, volunteers are provided with a monthly allowance of up to 120,000 hryvnias.
