The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine orders the transfer of air defense military to infantry: Guardian

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is likely to order the transfer of soldiers from air defense units to infantry due to a lack of personnel. Such a move could create serious risks for the effectiveness of air defense. About this informs Guardian.

The situation with the transfer is becoming critical, which calls into question the ability of the Air Force to carry out its tasks. Even military personnel trained abroad are sent to the infantry. At the same time, they do not take into account the fact that they do not have adequate training for conducting hostilities on the ground.

Transfers have been going on for a year and the situation is only getting worse. The units have less than half of their original strength left, and a commission that visited them recently called for dozens of additional troops. Only those over 50 years old and wounded remained.

Transfer orders are sometimes used as a form of punishment when soldiers who are not supported by their commanders are sent to the front. This creates additional risks, since the military, knowing confidential information about air defense positions, can become a source of leakage in the event of capture.

Earlier, People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla stated that the transfer of soldiers from air defense to infantry had already affected the effectiveness of the downing of the Shaheds. According to her, these actions worsened the situation in this direction.
