The intensity of the fighting near Pokrovsk has resumed: the Khortytsia Special Operations Unit
The intensity of hostilities in the Pokrovsky direction has resumed, although the number of Russian troops and equipment there has decreased. About this stated Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the “Khortytsia” OSU.
“Regarding the prospects in the Pokrovsk direction. The Russians breathed a sigh of relief for two months. In the first 10 days of March, they took a break, during this pause the number of skirmishes in this direction dropped very sharply, but then it went uphill again. This means that the Russians have recovered and are now resuming their attempts to one way or another improve their tactical position near Pokrovsk.”, – explained Tregubov.
According to him, the reduction in the scale of attacks is connected with significant losses of the Russian army.
“There are fewer of them, and they have less equipment. Directly, the guys fighting in those directions say that they see fewer Russians just now. Although the intensity has partially recovered. This indicates that the Russians simply suffered heavy losses. But they cannot leave this direction, because it is still part of their plans to control this part of Donetsk.”, – noted the spokesman of the “Khortytsia” OSU.
We will remind that on February 26, military experts stated that the Russian army actually stopped in this direction. The Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to improve the situation in the Pokrovsk region. Thanks to a series of counterattacks from the west, east and south, the Ukrainian troops stopped the advance of the exhausted units of the Russian army.
