The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova announced the invasion of Russian drones and missiles into the airspace of his country

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popshoi, confirmed and condemned the violation of Moldova’s airspace by Russian missiles and drones, which occurred on Sunday morning. That’s what he’s about reported in the social network Kh.
Mihai Popshoi emphasized that such actions are a serious violation of Moldova’s sovereignty and increase the threat to its citizens. Moldova strongly condemned these violations, noting that Russian missiles and drones were aimed at Ukrainian critical infrastructure, but fell into Moldovan airspace, creating a real threat to the security of the state.
According to Popshoy, this incident demonstrates that the consequences of the brutal war waged by Russia against Ukraine are felt not only in Ukraine, but also in neighboring countries such as Moldova. He noted that the explosions that occurred near the Moldovan border and the sighting of low-flying drones over Moldovan villages highlight the level of risk that the Moldovan people face due to the escalation of hostilities in the region.
“Explosions near our border and sightings of low-flying drones over villages highlight the risks to our people from Russia’s brutal war,” Popshoy said in a statement.
The minister also expressed concern that this situation could lead to further deterioration of security in the country and called on the international community to condemn such actions, which not only violate Moldova’s sovereignty, but also destabilize the region.
Popshoy stated that Moldova has repeatedly indicated the possibility of such incidents, given the proximity of its borders to the zone of active hostilities. In response to this airspace violation, Moldova will turn to international partners to strengthen the protection of its borders and call on Russia to stop such provocations.
