The Ministry of Health reported on the readiness of Okhmatdyt to work in the autumn-winter period

The Okhmatdyt hospital has completed its priority emergency repairs and is fully prepared for the autumn and winter period. This was announced by Minister of Health Viktor Liashko during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada.
‘Regarding the reconstruction of Okhmatdyt. “Okhmatdyt is working today, treating children. We have carried out priority emergency work and Okhmatdyt is ready to work in the autumn and winter,’ the official said.
On 4 October, Okhmatdyt’s medical director Serhiy Chernyshuk said that the full restoration of the hospital, damaged by Russia’s July strike, would not take place this year.
The delay in reconstruction is due to a change in the procedure for selecting a contractor, which requires additional time. In addition, a more detailed examination has been carried out and is now nearing completion.
On 30 September, Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital announced simplified procurement for emergency repairs worth UAH 9.51 million and technical supervision for UAH 132 thousand.
According to the plan, the priority work to protect the building from external influences is to be completed by 15 November.
