The Netherlands provides €271 million to Ukraine for the purchase of large-calibre shells

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, announced that his country will allocate more than 271 million euros to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with large-caliber artillery shells. These funds will help Ukraine maintain the necessary stocks of ammunition in 2025. Appropriate statement On October 17, Shoof made a statement on the X social network, emphasizing joint support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
“Denmark, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands are unwavering in their joint support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. A year ago we launched an initiative to provide ammunition to Ukraine, and today we are taking the next positive step: we intend to provide more large-caliber artillery ammunition.”, — wrote the prime minister.
Schoof also emphasized that the Netherlands not only allocates significant funds, but also calls on the European defense industry to actively develop the production of ammunition to support Ukraine.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine has already received more than a third of the 500,000 ammunition provided for by the Czech initiative by the end of this year, according to the information of the Ukrainian ambassador in Prague, Vasyl Zvarych.
